Married sex tape prison officer 'felt like a gangster' with burglar.
Linda De Sousa Abreu, aged 31, is a married prison officer sentenced to 15 months in prison for sexual intercourse with Linton Weirich, an inmate from HMP Wandsworth. The encounters, filmed by another inmate, were termed by Judge Martin Edmunds as an undermining of prison discipline and putting at risk the safety of staff.
Criticizing the conduct of Abreu for causing grievous harm, the Judge said it was regrettable to note that it was done by what he referred to as her "enthusiastic participation," although she claimed to be under duress. She tried to flee to Madrid but was arrested at Heathrow Airport after the video went viral. This incident has hugely dented the reputation and working conditions of female prison staff at Wandsworth because it misrepresents the majority of prison officers as unprofessional individuals.
